1. Product Introduction

Cosmetics refer to compound mixtures processed by reasonable formulation of various raw materials, which are applied to the human body surface by smearing, spraying or other methods to achieve the purposes of cleaning, skin care, beauty, eliminating unpleasant odors and modification. Cosmetic raw materials are diverse, and can be roughly divided into two categories: base materials and functional materials according to their properties and uses. With the improvement of living standards, the safety of synthetic substances has been increasingly questioned, leading to the tendency of using fewer or no synthetic substances in cosmetics. At present, from the perspective of cosmetics production and consumption at home and abroad, the development and production of natural cosmetics using natural raw materials have become the development trend of the modern cosmetics industry.

Due to its excellent film-forming, gelling and moisturizing properties, sodium alginate has been widely used in the production of cosmetics.

The cosmetic-grade sodium alginate developed by Lan Nuo is mainly applied to two categories: masks and creams.

2. Mask Category

Viscosity: 400-800 cps (1%), minimum 300 cps; 100% passing through 60-mesh sieve.

Advantages of Sodium Alginate Masks Compared with Other Masks:

Usage Methods:

1> Prepare mask base material with 15% LN50 sodium alginate, 15%-16% CaSO4, 60% diatomaceous earth, and 9%-10% other auxiliary materials. Mix the mask base material with talcum powder, CMC or starch at a ratio of approximately 1:10 to make mask powder.

2> Transparent mask powder: Take 15-20g of mask powder, add 30-40ml of purified water or milk into a mask mixing bowl. Apply a 1.5mm thick layer on the face or body within one minute, and peel it off after 20 minutes.

3. Cream Category

LN10 is a high-viscosity sodium alginate improved from ordinary sodium alginate through technological innovation, with good thickening property, high transparency, and safe and healthy use.

As a natural surfactant, LN10 sodium alginate can fully emulsify the oil-soluble and water-soluble components in cosmetics, thereby ensuring the stability and uniformity of the product; in addition, LN10 sodium alginate is also a natural thickener that can increase the consistency of the product. It can be used as a base material and suspension material for creams and body washes, and also in the extract of non-woven masks.
